Comic!

How the internet works:

In Todays lesson we learnt about the internet and a bit about how social networking works

We learnt about 3 important concepts. One, packet switching, two, network of networks and the last one, TCP/IP. We watched a video (The same one below) It shows how all computers are connected and how they get connected. What happens is networks are connected to other network which are computers, this is the same for people in other countries. The internet connects them all together. Your computer finds another computer and locates it with your IP address and the others too.The content get put into packets and are sent out one at a time. The packets can take any route that they wish, but must still reach at the destined point. They usually take the fastest route. Once they all reach the destination, they  get put into order so that everyone can see it. The structure of this is called networks of networks, and the packets are called as packet switching.

Comics!

Introduction:

In ICT, we learning about comics. We made a large comic mind map together in class, including what comics have in them. We had a look on the internet for comics and had some give from Mr. Parker (Our Teacher). We all had to write about the audience, genre/style, the title and the design features. We then came back, after looking and the comics, to look at our large class mind map on the white board. We talked about it and added more information onto it too. Below is and image of a comic.

• Title: The title of the comic is 'Luann.'
• Genre: The genre is a mixture of Comedy, Fiction and Romance.
• Audience: The audience for this comic is more for females, teens and adults.
• Design Features: The features and design of this comic is very interesting. It is ineteresting becuase of its good use of colours, its got speech and narration, there are panels and the size is perfect.

Steps To RSS Feed A Podcast Of Your Choice!

This post will teach you how to RSS Feed a podcast within minutes!

1. First, you must find a podcast of your choice with a RSS Feed. You can search the web and iTunes.
2. Once you have found a podcast then copy the RSS feed. To do this you must right click on RSS feed or Subscriptions bar and then copy the link. 
3. The next step after that is to go to Google Reader. You can login with your blogger account. 
4. Once logged in, on the right there will be a button saying 'Add A Subscription.' Click on that button.
5. Then there will be a bar where you can insert the click. Simply press 'Paste' then click onto the 'Add' button. 
6. After that, wait for it to load, this may take time as if will have to follow the link and see where it leads too. Once its loaded, you can enjoy the podcast.

By doing this, all the recent podcasts will appear and you can listen to it straight from Google Reader.

Project Summary

During my blog project I have learned many things. Now it time to share everything I have learnt with everyone who see's my blog.

Putting things into blogs

I have learned how to gather resources such as books,google docs,wordle,links and videos.

I have also learnt what to write and what not to write on blogs.

I have learnt how to reflect on what I have done and how to write formally.

And I now know how blog can be dangerous to use if you don't use them correctly.

Layout and Presentation

I know where post, posts.

I also know how the sidebar is different from the main area.

Commenting

I also know what to write on other blogs

I learnt how to make comments to people bog on ways they can improve and ways that they are good at.

Searching The Web

I have learnt how to search the web and know which website I should use and shouldn't.

I also now know techniques I can use in order to search for correct websites.

All these thing are thing that I have learned. They have been very difficult and very easy. I helped other and others helped me. I had to work very hard to include everything on my blog. I think making a blog was very exciting and fun, but at the same time difficult. This project was a very good way to learn new things.

This is My Wordle. A Wordle is adding a list of words then the computer arranges it.Then you can change the color and fonts. I have made it to do with words so we can all see what school has for us and how important it is. It also shows how lucky we are to get all these things. Friends,Teachers,Clubs,Support and many more things. We should all be very grateful for all we have.
